Director of Metro World Child South Africa
James and Janet Senior gave up their stable livelihood in the UK in 2004 and moved to Cape Town, South Africa, to do a kids ministry independently. James kept in contact with Pastor Bill through the years (since 1994!) and in 2008, joined the Metro family! The passion that this couple and their family have for the work of Metro is a driving force in the work that we do in South Africa.
Janet moved out to Cape Town in 2004 with her husband, James and their 4 children. Janet looks after the day to day running of operations in South Africa focusing mainly on the Won By One programme.
Janet also oversees the staff and volunteers.
Abigail Lives in Tambo and she looks after 3 Sidewalk sites. She does a lot of administration work around Won By One and also looks after the food side of Won By One. She is our senior member of staff and a big support to the work. She is a gifted teacher who makes the lessons very clear for the children we serve. She has been on staff since 2011, but has volunteered with Metro since the start in 2005.
In 2005, as a young teen, Ncedisa used to attend Metro World Child programmes and take part. She was one of our first workers in training and our first intern after she left school.
She joined staff in 2013 and leaders two Sidewalk sites as well looking after theday to day organising of Sidewalk at the office. She also heads up the teenage working in training programme which now involves over 150 teenage leaders.
Driver / Operations assistant
Frank is from Malawi and joined Metro World Child in 2014 with his main role being as a driver. However he has shown himself to be a good teacher and a great props maker. He makes most of the props that we use and brings a great sense of humor to the busy work environment.
